Catawba Valley PCEA is having a BBQ & Yard Sale to raise money for the Tony Eckard family.
As many of you are aware, Josh Eckard, the son of long-time PCEA member Tony Eckard, was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Friday, July 4th. He was air-lifted to
Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, where he was in ICU and CCU for 13 days. Josh suffered numerous internal and external injuries, including: broken nose, broken chin, shattered jaw, 2 teeth driven up behind his nose, 2 more teeth knocked out, broken sternum, 6 broken ribs, a bruised heart, both lungs partially collapsed, and bleeding on his brain. He has had one surgery so far to put his jaw back together, and faces several more surgeries and has some major milestones to overcome on his road to recovery.
The BBQ & Yard Sale is a fundraiser to help cover Josh's medical costs so he can concentrate on healing without having to worry about the burden of medical bills.
